Press a hotkey in Teams, Outlook, your IDE, or a Citrix window, and your text comes back fixed. You can speak in your language and send clean English. It runs on your own AI key. And it remembers what you got wrong, so tomorrow you can practice exactly that.
Windows 10/11 · no account · no telemetry · the trial needs no key at all, and after it your text goes only to the AI endpoint you choose
Select some text, press a hotkey, and the better version replaces it. There is no browser extension and no chatbot window to copy things into.
Fix and improve text right where you typed it (Ctrl+Alt+B). Translate it, soften it before you push back on someone, or turn rough notes into a backlog item. Each correction comes with one line explaining why it was wrong.
Select any word to get its meaning, with a translation if you want one. Text you can't select, like a scanned PDF or a Citrix window, gets read by on-device OCR (Ctrl+Alt+X). Hard passages can be rewritten in simpler English at your level.
If you miss a sentence in a call, press Ctrl+Alt+Q and read the last minute as text. Meetings can be recorded into local notes, transcribed entirely on your PC, with your speech mistakes collected for practice.
Say a chat message out loud in your language, check the English version, and press Enter to send it (Ctrl+Alt+J). There is also dictation, pronunciation practice, and shadowing built from sentences you actually wrote this week.
A small cast of colleagues to practise with: chat or voice calls, one-to-one or a room of them, each with their own voice. A teacher corrects you on the spot; everyone else keeps the conversation going and saves your mistakes quietly for later practice. If your job never makes you write English, this is where you start.
Press Ctrl+Alt+Enter and type what you want in plain words. The palette runs it and shows you the key for next time. Every window shows its hotkey in the title bar, and you can turn the whole list into flashcards with one click.
You get ten slots for your own commands: any prompt you write, behind any key you pick. Or import a ready-made one, like the CV polisher, the contract explainer, or the daily standup template.
Here are the ones you will use most. They work in whatever window you have open right now.

Any app, any language, detected automatically. Preview before it pastes.
Correction tools keep you dependent on them. RefineLoop runs in three stages: you use it during real work, it quietly keeps what you got wrong, and it hands that back later as practice built from your own sentences.
You never have to write a flashcard yourself. The in-app hotkey page groups every key by the moment you need it, so each one has an obvious place to live. And it's your data, in plain files you can open: bring your old Anki deck in, or export to Anki and NotebookLM whenever you like.
Azure OpenAI, OpenAI, Gemini, Claude, Groq, or fully local Ollama. With your own key there is no RefineLoop server in the path: we never see your text. The one exception is the 14-day trial's built-in connection, which forwards through our relay without storing anything; switching to any key takes us out of the path entirely. Speech-to-text can run entirely on your machine.
Every outbound text is scanned locally for API keys, secrets, and card numbers before anything is sent. Redact with one click.

Pay once. Every future version is included, on every computer you own.
Try everything free for 14 days first: no card, no account, and no key, because the trial has its own built-in connection. After that, a free Groq or Gemini key keeps running costs at zero, or your own paid key is usually under a dollar a month.
Copilot only lives inside Microsoft 365 apps. RefineLoop works everywhere, including remote desktops, and costs a fraction per seat. Grammarly sends your text to their cloud and will happily correct you for the rest of your life. RefineLoop uses your endpoint, and the goal is that you need it less over time.
You can start completely free: a Groq key needs no credit card, and Ollama runs on your PC for nothing. If you use a paid key, Normal daily use on an efficient model costs a few cents per month.
Per person. Install it on all your computers. If you point them at one synced folder, your vocabulary, flashcards, and streak follow you around.
Only the text you press a hotkey on, only to the endpoint you configured, and it gets scanned for credentials locally first. The privacy page has the full details.
